Steel Challenge Shooting Association

Our mission is to promote safe, fair and fun participation in Steel Shooting competition, for members of all ages and skill levels, through effective leadership, education, communication and administration.”
-SCSA

Shooting steel is one of the most fun ways to spend your time at the range and the mission statement from SCSA pretty much sums up the sport. Unlike paper targets, steel provides that distinct “ping” when you hit it. It’s a sound that is truly exciting and makes you want to shoot more. When you add friends and family to the mix, you can’t possibly go wrong.

The Match

Shooters will participate in 4 – 6 stages designed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association. Each stage is shot 5 times so, be prepared for a whole lot of shooting fun! On top of that, you may also bring your pistol caliber carbine! This sport is truly designed for shooters of all ages and skill levels and we are sure you will love participating in this exciting shooting event. Additionally, steel matches are a great entry sport and practice for GSSF, IDPA and other action shooting sports because of their low-key atmosphere and the friendliness of the competitors. It’s just plain fun!
